Enter your vote today! A new poll has been created for the

his overnights at the White House?

o Karl Rove
o Scotty McClellan
o Rick Santorum and/or his dog
o Ralph Reed

This is interesting...apparently George Bush *does* read a newspaper every once in a while. It's a good thing, too, because otherwise how would he find out what policy he's agreed to:

Bush pulls Marvin Gaye routine,
asks "What's going on?"

"President Bush expressed dismay yesterday over plans to require American, Canadian and Mexican citizens to show passports to enter the United States — a requirement of an intelligence-reform bill he signed late last year — saying it could 'disrupt the honest flow of traffic.'

"'When I first read that in the newspaper, about the need to have passports, for particularly the day crossings that take place — about a million, for example in the state of Texas — I said, "What's going on here?"' Bush told the American Society of Newspaper Editors. 'I thought there was a better way to... expedite the legal flow of traffic and people.'

"Bush said he has instructed Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and the Department of Homeland Security to review the plan to see if there is any way to lessen the impact, such as using electronic fingerprint imaging 'to serve as a so-called passport for daily traffic.'

"A senior U.S. government official said State Department and Homeland Security officials had vetted [the passport requirement] exhaustively with the White House before announcing it April 5."

The way the church speaks to it's congregation is traditional. The method I don't think was intentionaly researched but rather evolved as what people respond to.

The tone of the church is that the speaker is the authority. He holds knowledge and a position to be revered. His tone is one of an authority figure. He is then established in the psyche as a figure akin to a father figure. He is the leader.
His persistant pointing out flaws in their behavior (sin) and enforces a guilt and a sense of inferiority in the congregation. People feel further less worthy especialy when in their minds they never draw the conclusion that all people have these flaws even the accuser. They draw from his tone, position, and the fact that he is the accuser he must be devoid of these nagging human defects.

This reinforces the position of the leader of the church. Now firmly ensconced in the trappings of authority and the power that comes with it, it results in his power to steer their minds.

Now in the Southern Baptist church this varies a little. In this church the Deacons of the church can decide on a pastor. In this case they can choose (and do) to have a pastor that caters to the same aspect of their psyche that patriotism does. The "we are better than them" aspect is prevelant here. There is less admonishment of the congregation in this environment and a subtle message of superiority that they are better and saved than the doomed Philistines outside the church doors.

But that is just my take on the whole thing.

It's so simply obvious that Gan/Guk was a mole tasked with exposing the lib/gay agenda and reporting back to the highest levels.

Yes, it's all a plan, a conspiricy to use the gay left against itself.

Example: Janeane has had to self-censor repaeatedly that there is not a single problem with gay/straight/man-on-dog sex BUT there is a problem with the right using homo sex as a wedge.

Seems like the wedge has been set and by Janeane et al talking about this issue like it really is important is just increasing the "hammering".

Child brides and vampire names: Bizarre the norm in mass murder trial

By Harriet Ryan
Court TV

FRESNO, California (Court TV) -- In an unexceptional, wood-paneled
courtroom on the fifth-floor of the downtown Superior Court here, the story
of the city's worst mass murder is unfolding in chilling detail.

The tale emerging from the trial of Marcus Wesson rivals an Anne Rice
novel, with testimony of incest, child brides, vampire aliases, coffin beds
and an apocalyptic obsession that led a one-time bank teller to turn his
extended family into a reclusive cult.

Wesson, 58, stands accused of killing nine of his children, including
seven he sired with his own daughters and nieces. He is also charged with
molestation and rape. The murder victims, ranging in age from 1 to 25, were
discovered in the family's home March 12, 2004, after a standoff with
police over a custody issue. Each had been shot once through the eye and
piled in a back bedroom ringed with antique coffins.

Of course, he was a very religous man.

We can't believe ANY democrat is talking about compromise and surrender. This is insanity. The polls are massively in our favor. We must SPEAK OUT NOW to tell our senators NO MEANS NO ON UNQUALIFIED JUDGES.

Are we going to go limp in the face of little Justice Sunday circus. Hell NO! Did they not hear us hear us the first time we told them a small number of their proposed nominees were TOTALLY unacceptable? Do they have to hear from each and every one of us in person for them to get the message? Well, maybe they do. And that's why it is so important for all of us speak out now by submitting the form above and tell them once and for all that no means no!

I went to a Soup and Study at my church yesterday. There were three speakers talking about different community projects that are faith inspired. One of them was B.R.E.A.D.(Building Responsibility Equality And Dignity). Nobody seems to update their web site, but you can click to see a dated version of what they are about.

The person speaking about the organization (which has a huge meeting coming up a week from Monday, and Paula Brooks, our new county commissioner, will be speaking) talked about the Book of Deuteronomy. Of course, I think of that as the book with all those rules, but the speaker said something I hadn't really heard or thought of before. He commented that this was the point when Moses had been told that he would not be able to enter the Promised Land, so he had to be sure to give complete instructions. The speaker commented that he has a son who is turning 18 soon and finds himself thinking, "Okay, have I told you *everything*?"

Anyway, he specifically pointed out the instructions about kings, including:

"He must not accumulate large amounts of silver and gold."

Yeah, right. Kings and other leaders tend to be fond of large amounts of silver and gold. And the prophets were always having to speak truth to power when they strayed. Telling us about this was the speaker's roundabout way of getting to the point he was making, that, as people of faith, we need to hold our leaders accountable and make sure they don't turn their backs on the poor.

Sen. Isackson (R-SC) Praises Filibuster--in Iraq
by Chris Bowers

This is priceless. One of the supporters of eliminating the filibuster praises it as a means of protecting minority rights in Iraq, and as a shining example of how Irais are learning from Americans. Here is an exceprt from his speech:
"Don't you fear that the Shi'ites inevitably being in the majority, that you will be overrun? And he says, 'oh no, we have a secret weapon.' Mr. President, this is a Kurdish leader, in the middle of Iraq in the 21st century who said he had a secret weapon. And when asked what it was, he said one word, 'filibuster'" [...]
"It is one of their minority leaders, proudly stating one of the pillars and principles of our government, as the way they would ensure that the majority never overran the minority."

This is not an old speech. Isackson was elected to the Senate in November just as this fight was heating up. Here is a video of the entire thing.

The following is from a report on an appearance in Australia by the producer of the Hitchhiker's Guide movie, Robbie Stamp:

Interesting things we saw/heard:
* The decision for Zaphod's second head was Douglas'. Robbie also mentioned that Douglas was trying to give the two heads different personalities; this should show up in the movie.
* We got to see the model of the Heart of Gold and a bit of a look at it while it was under construction. There are apparently over 4,000 light globes used in it, but they were aiming for 4,200...
* We were told that 'Journey of the Sorcerer’ will be used in the film. The rest of the music has been scored for the movie.
* We were told of a fake deleted scene for the DVD, which is really a joke against over-enthusiastic fans worrying about them destroying the movie. It will have in it Arthur running in, holding Marvin's arm, using it as a machine gun to save Trillian. The scene then breaks down into all the actors complaining and saying stereotypical lines.
* In test screenings the whale scene has usually ranked in the top three scenes. Robbie said that he considered this scene to be the test of the movie, if it is received well, he thinks the whole movie will succeed. Interesting things we saw/heard:

RIGHT-WINGER BLASTS O'REILLY

April 25, 2005 -- RABID radio host Michael Savage is whining that he has been banned from the Fox News Channel after he dissed Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity.
The controversial conservative — who was fired by MSNBC in 2003 after referring to a caller to his show as "a sodomite" who should "get AIDS and die" — recently burned more bridges by calling O'Reilly a "Leper-Con who poses as a conservative" and Hannity "another Republican bootlicker who began as a Rush [Limbaugh] understudy" on his "Savage Nation" radio show.

Savage claims that he's been bumped off four scheduled appearances on Fox News Channel in the wake of his caustic comments.

"These two are now acting the way the mainstream media has been acting for decades, thinking they are the gatekeepers of who shall be heard in the conservative world," Savage sputtered in a statement.

"Both are jealous of my audience and are trying to silence me because they do not want the competition."

Savage boasted that the supposed "ban" has not affected sales of his new book, "Liberalism Is a Mental Disorder," which debuts at No. 6 on the New York Times best-seller list next week.

The gay-bashing broadcaster isn't the only publicity hound taking aim at O'Reilly, the undisputed king of cable news.

Catholic League president Bill Donohue, famed for firing off several press releases a day to media outlets, is ticked that O'Reilly once described him as a "witch-hunter" and Pope John Paul II as an "autocrat."

"My members are a little bit fed up with him," Donohue claims. "I guess he feels like if he is to the left of me, he'll appear more fair and balanced. We're on the same side philosophically on most issues. But I feel like, when someone crosses the line from criticism to disparagement, I'm gonna call them on it."

A Fox News Channel spokesperson responds: "One is a well-known hater, and the other is a notorious publicity hound. We congratulate them on their successful attention-grabbing efforts."

Can you stop wishing that Labour will loose on May 5th here in England.

Although I totally disagree with the decision to go to war in Iraq I live here and if the Conservatives were to win here in England they would cut back a lot of environmental protection and tax breaks for the top...and many of the current republican policies.

I Hope Labour will win, but with a reduced majority and not be able to get away with things like Iraq. BUT PLEASEEEEE DONT wish the conservatives of us... There have been Progressive policies carried out here which I for one support. Our Health service is better and more help and assistance for the poor etc.

A Message from John Cleese
To the citizens of the United States of America:

In light of your failure to elect a competent President of
the USA and thus to govern yourselves, we hereby give notice of the revocation of your independence, effective immediately. Her Sovereign
Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will resume monarchical duties over all states,
commonwealths, and territories (excepting Kansas, which she does not fancy). Your new prime minister, Tony Blair, will appoint a governor for America without the need for further elections. Congress and the Senate will be disbanded. A questionnaire may be circulated next
year to determine whether any of you noticed.
To aid in the transition to a British Crown Dependency, the following rules are introduced with immediate effect:
You should look up "revocation" in the Oxford English Dictionary. Then look up "aluminium," and check the pronunciation guide. You will be amazed at just how wrongly you have been pronouncing it. The letter 'U' will be reinstated in words such as 'favour'
and 'neighbour.' Likewise,
you will learn to spell 'doughnut' without skipping half the letters, and the suffix "ize" will be replaced by the suffix "ise." Generally, you will be expected to raise your vocabulary to acceptable levels. (look up "vocabulary").
Using the same twenty-seven words interspersed with filler noises such as "like" and "you know" is an unacceptable and inefficient form of communication. There is no such thing as "US English." We
will let Microsoft know on your behalf. The Microsoft spell-checker
will be adjusted to take account of the reinstated letter 'u' and
the elimination of "-ize." You will relearn your original
national anthem, "God Save The Queen."

The actual intelligence analysts are really, really smart and capable. The idea that the lowest level personnel intelligence analysts didn't know there were no WMD is just crazy! They've got acres of computers, they've got satellites that can count your freckles, they listen into every electronic transmission on the planet and translate them automatically.

They even had the cell phone numbers of the highest level military officers.

John Cleese cont'd
July 4th will no longer be celebrated as a holiday.
November 2nd will be a new national holiday, but to be celebrated only in England. It will be called "Come-Uppance Day."
You will learn to resolve personal issues without using
guns, lawyers, or therapists. The fact that you need so many lawyers and therapists shows that you're not adult enough to be independent. Guns should only be handled by adults. If you're not adult enough to sort
things out without suing someone or speaking to a therapist then you're not grown up enough to handle a gun. Therefore, you will no longer be allowed to own or carry anything more dangerous than a vegetable
peeler. A permit will be required if you wish to carry a vegetable peeler in public. All American cars are hereby banned. They are crap and this
is for your own good. When we show you German cars, you will understand what we mean. All intersections will be replaced with roundabouts,
and you will start driving on the left with immediate effect. At the same time, you will go metric with immediate effect and without the benefit
of conversion tables. Both roundabouts and metrication will
help you understand the British sense of humour.

Tesh has no redeeming comedic value.

Much like standing in line or having your wisdom teeth removed, listening to John Test is an ordeal to be endured, like visiting the stations of the cross.

That is precisely why he has an audience. He is a necessary evil that supports and sustains theological dogma.

That description of Gannon/Guckert partying in the White House reminds me of the orgy scene in the movie JFK.

Joe Pesci, Kevin Bacon, Tommy Lee Jones. They were dressed in these wild costumes, dresses, womans wigs, make up, gold paint, dressed up like "Mercury." They were chasing each other around, getting high, etc...

From JFK:

Joe Pesci as David Ferrie:

"All I wanted, in the world, was to be a catholic priest. Live in a monastery, pray, serve God. I had one fuckin'... one terrible fuckin' weakness. And then they fucked me!"

"I'm so fuckin' exhausted. I can't see straight."

"Who did the President, who killed Kennedy. Fuck, man! It's a mystery, it's a mystery wrapped in a riddle inside an enigma! The fuckin' shooters don't even know, don't you get it?! Fuck, man!!"

A journalist went undercover to the event. On another radio show, he played a snippet of her speech. Ann actually said, " David Duke was unable to teach at any college, but Ward Churchill could".

Minor correx: Twere Hitler who propounded this axiom about the people's willingness to believe a big lie over a small one. Comes from Mein Kampf, from the chapter on propaganda, if memory serves. Surely one of the most turgid yet horrifying books ever written. The blueprint is pretty much all there for all of Hitler's atrocities.

Churchill is one of the few who believed Hitler was serious long before Hitler got internationally aggressive.
